Υπ. Immigration: Additional funding of € 905 thousand in three municipalities

By decision of the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarakis, are approved by the Solidarity Fund of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, funding for 3 more Municipalities, in the context of supporting local communities that contribute to the management of immigration.

At the invitation of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, the Municipalities of Eastern Samos, Lagada and Serres are subsidized a total of 905,000 euros, for municipal projects, following proposals submitted, at their discretion and based on local needs.

In total, 18,800,000 million euros have been allocated – through the Solidarity Fund of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum – to 31 Municipalities throughout the territory.

Specifically, the following projects were approved:

– Municipality of Eastern Samos – Restoration of facilities of Gago Beaches, Maunes, Malagari and the Municipal Garden of the city of Samos, € 455,000.

– Municipality of Lagada – Creation of a new playground in Billio of the Community of Lagada € 160,000.

– Municipality of Serres – Creation of New and Upgrading of Existing Sports Venues in the Sports Park of Omonia € 290,000.
