International Day Against Homophobia is celebrated on 17 May. Indeed, on this very date, in 1990, the World Health Organization deleted homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses.
The day was conceived by Louis-Georges Tin, curator of the Homophobia Dictionary, the Dictionary of Homophobia. The anniversary is promoted by the International Committee for Day against Homophobia and Transphobia and recognized by the European Union and the United Nations.
The aim of the day is to promote international awareness and prevention events to counter the phenomenon of homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. There are many forms of love, which sometimes find obstacles in prejudice and diversity.
So here are 10 children’s books to explain love in all its forms.
