Pierpaolo Lazzarini is a contemporary Italian designer who created an ambitious studio and named it after his last name. He has worked in the automotive industry for many years and speaks for himself as a believer in an alternative approach to design. However, the studio clearly honors traditions, which is clearly hinted at by its slogan:

Within the walls of Lazzarini, a lot of amazing design projects have been created, some of which are clearly worth a closer look. They clearly bring the future closer and show how technological it can be.

CYBORG
This is how the studio sees the future of the automotive industry. CYBORG is a machine based on artificial intelligence. According to Lazzarini, this makes this vehicle a cross between a robot and a person. Most likely, with the help of it, autonomous control occurs without the direct participation of the driver.
To get into the cabin, you need to open the doors, which are thrown up, like the Tesla Model X and many hypercars. Designers do not indicate detailed technical characteristics, but, judging by the appearance, this car should have no less than 1000 horsepower. Moreover, it is interesting that this is not an electric car – the exhaust pipes on the sides clearly allude to the internal combustion engine under the hood.
The Air Yacht V2
One of the most striking projects of Lazzarini, in my opinion, is a flying yacht, which consists of two passenger blocks connected by an aerodynamic transition. In the central part there is a stylish control center from which flight control is carried out.
The whole project as a whole resembles a pair of airships combined with each other. The length of each passenger block is 169 meters. Their upper part is covered with solar panels, which provide the device with energy. Boarding the ship is carried out from the water. Actually, The Air Yacht V2 sits down only in reservoirs and takes off only from them.
Gran Turismo Mediterranea
Incredibly expensive and stylish yacht in the spirit of Italian supercars – in fact, her colors are appropriate. It is designed to move as quickly as possible on the sea surface. To reduce water resistance, special wings are located in front of the vessel, pushing the apparatus above the surface.
To emphasize the high cost and general positioning of the vessel, the designers provided a separate place on it for their own high-speed car. The owner quickly parks it on the ship, changes to the helm and continues the journey already on the water. It makes no sense to live permanently on such a yacht – the size is not the same. But to ride it for a couple of days with a breeze is the most it.
The Shape
Another water vessel, but with a completely different philosophy. The yacht focuses not on speed, but on format. Actually, her name is appropriate – The Shape (“Form”). On the upper part of the deck there is a helipad, as well as a fairly large round-shaped pool with a transparent bottom.
You can look at the glass bottom pool from a different angle from the lower deck. It is open from the sides, which is very unusual for this type of transport. Actually, such solutions are not usually used on real yachts. However, this is a conceptual view, so it is excusable. The length of the internal accommodation module is 35 meters, and the entire yacht is 69 meters long.

A unique vehicle that shows the potential future of personal tools for moving around the city and beyond. In fact, it is something like an electric car. It has no wheels, but has four propeller-driven engines to take off and control the direction of movement in the airspace.
The vehicle has four seats – two in the front and a couple in the back. For takeoff and landing, no specific conditions are needed – in theory, a small area near the house or on a flat roof will do. As planned by the designers, the LINUX SKY body can be painted in neutral gray, blue or red. With an abundance of such quadcopters for transporting people, the question of regulation will inevitably arise, but it will not be for designers to ask.
FD-ONE
An analogue of the previous vehicle, but I don’t want to call it such a phrase. This is a sports racing car in bright colors that flies through the sky and potentially competes with other similar vehicles. Its principle of operation is similar to the previous one – it is a drone on an enlarged scale, but with three engines instead of the classic four.
Apparently, the studio suggests that the first such aircraft should be produced under the Ferrari brand. Actually, that is why on the side parts of his body there was a place for the logos of this particular automaker. By the way, interestingly, it is assumed that the FD – ONE will move with the simultaneous use of a V12 gasoline engine with 740 horsepower, as well as electric motors.
WAYALAND
Another direction in the work of the studio is private houses based directly on the water. It seems that they should provide an opportunity to acquire relatively affordable housing in those regions where land is scarce, and its cost leaves much to be desired.
With the help of the WAYALAND brand, the studio positions not individual houses with internal parking places for water vehicles, but entire settlements. It is quite possible that these will soon be used, if not for permanent life, but for tourism purposes, for sure.
UFO2.0.
Another variation on the theme of residential buildings designed to be placed on the water. They have a slightly different shape that resembles a UFO, which is why they got the appropriate name. Such modern structures for islands and coastal zones are not massively used today.
A separate feature of such structures is the bedroom, located on the lower tier – under water. For it, a special waterproof glazing is provided, which involves the inspection of underwater beauties during the rest. Just look at the views – it’s something!
Jet Capsule ZERO
Obviously, if the number of buildings on the water surface will systematically increase, the need for an affordable and comfortable form of transport for moving by sea will also increase. Lazzarini has a closed cabin solution to keep water out of passengers.
Specifically, this capsule is something like a multi-seat bus that can take a dozen people on board. It is assumed that the vehicle will be fully electric and dynamic enough to move. By the way, this is a real ship that is already being produced, not a concept.
STRATOSFERA
Another vehicle for moving on water – Lazzarini really love this element. It is designed for one or two passengers and is quite compact in appearance. The salon is closed to prevent water from getting on both clothing and personal items.
It is interesting that, as conceived by the designers, only a special “wing” of this apparatus is immersed in water. This significantly reduces the resistance of the liquid, therefore, on the one hand, the apparatus should consume a minimum of energy. On the other hand, he, albeit in the future, will be able to develop a good speed of movement between water bodies.
Bonus: The Songball
It is interesting that the Lazzarini studio is engaged not only in large-scale projects of the level of flying cars, water vehicles and residential structures, but also in quite small pieces. The Songball is a prime example of this.
