My love for Cole Sprouse began in the early 2000s, when we were both teenagers. I spent my afternoons on the sofa in front of Disney Channel, he was the star – along with his twin Dylan – of Zack and Cody at the Grande Hotel. For a while, however, I stopped following him. Imagine the amazement when I then saw him again as an adult in the role of Jughead Jones in Riverdale, one of my favorite TV series. About him – given his confidentiality – we know the things that everyone knows by now and that we had already told you some time ago: he was engaged for 3 years with the co-star Lili Reinhart and now he is dating the model Ariane Fournier; created @cameraduels, an Instagram account that unmasks those who try to secretly photograph him and has created a podcast, Storm, which is a breathtaking thriller.
Thankfully, it has recently reopened to open in front of the cameras of Vogue, who interviewed him at his home in Vancouver, where he is now for the filming of the fifth season of Riverdale. Speaking of this and that, we found out 10 things about him that (maybe) you didn’t know and that you absolutely cannot miss:
1- HIS FAVORITE DISH IS CARBONARA AND IT ALSO COOKS
He prepares it according to an ancient family recipe, preferring bacon instead of pancetta and abounding with pecorino romano. A purist of tradition. On the other hand, he and his twin were born in Arezzo and carry a piece of Italy always with them, wherever they go: “To conquer me and reach my heart, the direct way passes through the stomach”. Ok Cole, I can prepare all the pasta you want.
2- THINK THAT VANCOUVER IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITIES IN THE WORLD
It has been like his second home for nearly 5 years now, as the Canadian location is home to the Riverdale set. Cole has explored and photographed every corner: the yellow mound that can be glimpsed from the second floor of his apartment remains the place he loves the most.
3- HIS FIRST CAMERA WAS A NIKON
His passion for photography grows every day: he loves taking pictures because they help him escape from reality. His Instagram profile is now a gallery of masterpieces. His first car was a Nikon but it now has a collection of rooms including one Polaroid who gave the interview reporter (lucky him).
4- HE STUDIED ARCHEOLOGY BECAUSE OF HIS GRANDFATHER
If his grandmother pushed him to act, the geologist grandfather instead passed on to him the passion for antiquity. Do you think that during the university years, Cole Sprouse discovered an ancient mask linked to the cult of Dionysus (and other things he calls spooky) buried in an archaeological site in Bulgaria.

“I always keep a couple of books to pretend I can read,” he says. Milan Kundera’s masterpiece, however, he really read.

Well yes. Fed up with fans and strangers who continue to violate his privacy – there are people who have tried to photograph him even in a public bathroom – he admitted that it is anger towards these people that drives him to publish their photos.
7- CAN IMITATE THE VOICE OF DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
The experience with the podcast marked him positively, but if it were up to him he would listen to stories read only by the famous British popularizer and naturalist (if you want to understand what we are talking about you can find it on Netflix as narrator of the doc A life on our planet) Cole Sprouse imitates it very well!
