“100 Days”: the story of navigator Amyr Klink will become a film; find out more

The story of the Brazilian navigator Amyr Klink who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a rowing boat, will be adapted for the cinema. This Wednesday (18), the filming of the film was completed, on the same date that marks the 40th anniversary of Klink’s arrival in Bahia, after his crossing.

Scheduled to premiere in 2025, the feature film “100 Days” is a narrative of self-discovery in which a young man struggles with himself and against the shadow of an authoritarian father. Searching for his own path in life, and against all odds, Amyr (Filipe Bragança) will cross the Atlantic Ocean alone in a small rowboat.

The crossing in these modes was a challenge never attempted by anyone else and required a lot of strength and determination to reach the final goal, the coast of Bahia. The feat of 3,700 miles (approx. 5,955 km) was achieved one hundred days after departure and, during the solitude of the journey, Amyr made entries in a logbook, which later became the book “Cem Dias Entre Céu e Mar”.

Now, the best-seller will be turned into a film, directed by Carlos Saldanha (“Rio”, “Ice Age”, “Ferdinand”, “Invisible City”). See photos from the film in the gallery above.
