100% national vaccine, shorter quarantine time for Covid-19 and more than January 7th

Anvisa’s approval to manufacture a vaccine against Covid-19 entirely in Brazil and possible reduction in quarantine time for asymptomatic individuals are among the highlights of the afternoon of January 7, 2022.

National Covid Vaccine

Brazil will have 100% national vaccine against Covid-19. Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) approved the registration of the Active Pharmaceutical Input (IFA), produced by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), via Instituto Bio-Manguinhos.

The Agency informed that it has compared the ingredients and studies have shown that the national raw material has the same performance as the vaccine produced abroad.

quarantine time

The Health Minister, Marcelo Queiroga, said this Friday morning (7) that the isolation time for asymptomatic people who tested positive for Covid-19 will possibly be reduced from 10 to 5 days. The minister claims that this reduction is already being adopted in other countries.

Army Vaccination

The Army updated the Covid-19 pandemic guidelines and recommended vaccinating military personnel who return to face-to-face work. The document does not make vaccination mandatory and the return of unvaccinated individuals will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis by the Army command.

Covid-19 no world

With the advancement of the Ômicron variant, the world registered a record in the number of cases of Covid-19 in one week, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). However, even with the record, the number of deaths dropped 10%, reinforcing the effectiveness of the protection offered by vaccines against the disease.

Micro and small business debts

In a presidential message published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU), President Jair Bolsonaro informed that he decided to fully veto the project that created a new debt installment program for micro and small companies participating in the Simples Nacional. The veto of the project now needs to be analyzed by the National Congress.
