In the midst of the pandemic, they highlight a particular aspect of recent architectural production. The predominant theme of the projects is the reflection in relation to the always topical issue of housing, with the issues of urban regeneration and public character being clearly less, although particularly remarkable. In these participations, “youthful” synthetic proposals emerge, with original ideas, but also maturity, both in relation to the organization of the space and its elaboration, the integration in the place and the scale (without, however, bearing the stress of “tradition”) , as well as in relation to the effort to implement them.

They are approaches that remind us that there are young architects who can move beyond stereotypes and current fashions. They try to exist through their work, highlighting in parallel with the individual creation, the universal values and the social dimension of the architecture, which look forward to the really “new” through the historical continuity and its overthrow. In contrast, part of the exhibition is dedicated to the office of Doxiadis, who developed at all scales of the space the modern approach of the historic site.
