The remains of these two victims were located during investigations in a house that had burned to the ground in Kibbutz Beeri, as announced late yesterday, Wednesday, by Zaka. “Their bodies were charred after they were murdered,” the organization said in a statement, without giving the names of the dead or details of their possible family relationship, according to APE-MPE.
Israeli officials have previously reported at least 108 dead in Beeri – about 10% of the kibbutz’s population. At least ten other such Israeli communities were attacked by the gunmen. Yesterday the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported to US President Joe Biden, who was visiting the country, that the death toll had risen to 1,400 people. According to Israeli officials, the numbers continue to rise as forensic examination allows identification of the dead.
