The Secretary of Digital Government of the Ministry of Economy reported this Monday, 17, that 11 new states will have the Balcão Único for opening companies by the end of January.
With this, entrepreneurs from 17 Federation Units will be able to start a business through a unified digital form.
According to the ministry, the federal government system starts operating this week in the commercial boards of Paraná, Piauí, Rondônia and Maranhão.
By the end of the month, the platform will also be integrated into the systems in Alagoas, Goiás, Sergipe, Tocantins, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte and Espírito Santo. The initiative already works in São Paulo, Pernambuco, Bahia, Pará, Rio Grande do Sul and the Federal District.
With the system, the time required to open a company is greatly reduced, through a single digital form that provides the National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ) number on the spot.
The Ministry of Economy points out that it is already possible to open a company in Brazil in less than two days, compared to an average of five days in 2019. The government’s expectation is that the system will be implemented throughout the country by the end of the year.
“Citizens can open a company much faster, without bureaucracy, without wasting time with unnecessary demands and displacements, solving everything in one place. It is Brazil on the path of best international practices for opening businesses”, said Caio Mario Paes de Andrade, special secretary for Debureaucratization, Management and Digital Government of the Ministry of Economy.
The project also counts on the work of teams from the Special Secretariat of the Federal Revenue, the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) and the Special Secretariat for State Modernization (Seme) of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
According to the Economy, the electronic signature provided by gov.br is also being used in 24 commercial boards.
The technology is free and eliminates the need for signature recognition or acquisition of a digital certificate.
To use the gov.br subscription, it is necessary to have a silver or gold digital identification level on the platform, which can be obtained through facial validation, through the mobile application.
Another alternative is linking to a bank account, that is, the applicant needs to authenticate himself at one of the accredited financial institutions (Banco do Brasil, Caixa, Sicoob, Bradesco, Santander, BRB and Banrisul).
