14-year-old boy performs the last song to his mother in the hospital

Jane and Billy Davine, originally from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, had a great mother-child bond that went through a long struggle when Jane, 51, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019.

The cancer was so aggressive that he had to spend his last months in the hospital. During the pandemic, the health center adapted strict rules to ensure the health of its patients.

He could no longer be near his son

These measures included the restriction of visits. Billy could no longer see his mother to kiss her and tell her that everything would be fine.

Billy had to figure it out

Unable to access the hospital, the teenager decided to surprise his mother outside her window. She prepared a musical presentation in the company of her friend Ellie and they performed Shallow, song that belongs to the movie A Start is born and that it is his mother’s favorite.

He surprised her in a very pleasant way

The medical staff was his accomplice in making this cute gesture a reality and they helped him install microphones so they could sing.

My mom has always enjoyed listening to me sing, so I thought it would be a nice surprise to sing her favorite song.

Jane, with tears in her eyes, was able to hear and see her son through her bedroom window. “She had been asleep, but when I started singing, her eyes lit up,” Billy mentioned.

Billy remembers that his mother always supported him in his musical interests and encouraged him to continue preparing.

He sang to his mother for the last time

Jane passed away on September 7, just days after witnessing this beautiful detail from her son. Despite being the last presentation for his mother, this will be a memory that Billy will carry forever in his heart.
