The Civil Police of Bahia are investigating the murder of a 15-year-old teenager, found dead on Sunday morning (27), on the sports court at Escola Municipal Professora Haydee Fonseca, in the João Paulo II neighborhood, in Juazeiro, northern Bahia.
The victim, identified as Jhonatas Silveira Lopes dos Santos, was attacked with stones, according to police information. The stone used in the attack was found next to the young man’s body.
In a statement, the Military Police reported that a team from the 74th Independent Company (CIPM) was called to respond to the incident and, upon arriving at the scene, confirmed the death, also validated by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).
The Technical Police Department (DPT) carried out the examination and sent the body for additional examinations.
The Juazeiro Homicide Police Station is conducting the investigation to determine the authorship and motivation of the crime. Expert guides were issued and the police have already begun investigations and interviews to clarify the case and identify possible suspects.
THE CNN contacted the Municipality of Juazeiro da Bahia to find out if the management is following the case that occurred at Escola Municipal Professora Haydee Fonseca and is awaiting a response.
