Lenovo has unveiled a new gaming laptop called the Y9000K 2021 Exploration Edition, which is powered by the still-current Intel Tiger Lake-H processors.
The heart is the eight-core Core i7-11800H. For gamers, it is more important to know that three video cards are available for the new product: GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070 or RTX 3080. Moreover, they all have the maximum power limit for their model.
But the most interesting thing here is the display. It is a 16-inch panel with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. And the bottom line is that this is a mini-LED panel, that is, like the new MacBook Pros. The maximum brightness here is declared equal to 1250 cd / m2, there is a DisplayHDR1000 certificate and 1152 dimming zones.
True, it got only the top-end version of Lenovo Y9000K. The models have a simpler IPS panel, but with a frame rate of 165 Hz.
Lenovo also talks about using liquid metal as a thermal interface for cooling components. The novelty weighs 2.5 kg, has 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The battery capacity is 80 W • h, there is support for 100-watt charging. No pricing data available.
