Ethereum Optimism Scaling Solution reduced the number of wallets that are eligible to participate in the upcoming free distribution of cryptocurrency. The project removed 17 thousand addresses that belonged to users who tried to deceive the system, writes RBC Crypto.
Optimism is for the people, not the sybils.

Some traders, in anticipation of an airdrop, create many wallets in the hope of receiving a large number of new tokens. Optimism said that altcoins that were supposed to be distributed between remote addresses will be redistributed among the remaining wallets.
At the end of April the project announced about the distribution of tokens, in which 250 thousand addresses will be able to take part. Initially, 5% of the altcoin emission will be distributed, another 14% will be distributed during the upcoming airdrops. It is assumed that the distribution will take place at the end of May or June.
