Russia’s Gazprom announced today that it had reduced its gas supply capacity to Germany by more than 40% via the Nord Stream gas pipeline, as the German group Siemens did not export the necessary equipment to Russia.
“Gas deliveries via the Nord Stream pipeline can only be guaranteed up to the level of 100 million cubic meters per day, compared to the projected 167 million per day,” Gazprom said in a statement to the Telegram.
In the wake of Gazprom’s announcement, gas prices in Amsterdam (TTF) are on the rise with July delivery jumping 18%while its price is set to 98.36 euros the megawatt hour.
At the high of the day, the dam had not exceeded 100 euros (at 100,995).
