BYD Han DM-i is available in four versions: three provide a range of 121 km on pure electricity, the fourth allows you to drive on electricity stored in a solid-state traction battery, 242 km. The price of the first three versions varies from $34,160 to $37,310. They differ only in equipment, but the technical parameters are the same. The fourth version of Han DM-i has a high-capacity traction battery, so this hybrid is able to drive twice as much on pure electricity. The price of this version is $46,130. And at the top of the range, the BYD Han DM-p is the only all-wheel-drive hybrid option, with a pure electric range of 202 km. The price is $50,860. It is important that these prices already take into account local (Chinese) subsidies.

Han DM-i and Han DM-p are, in fact, one car, the versions of which differ only in the hybrid component. Therefore, the dimensions are the same – 4950 x 1910 x 1495 mm, wheelbase – 2920 mm. The source calls the novelty a mid-size sedan, but it is still a fairly large car with 19-inch wheels in the base. The volume of the fuel tank is only 50 liters, the minimum turning radius is 6.25 m.

Hybrids (by the way, plug-in) are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 139 hp, but the car is driven by an electric motor. Han DM-i has one 197 hp engine. with a peak torque of 316 Nm, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Han DM-p received two electric motors with a capacity of 218 and 272 hp. Torque, respectively, 325 Nm and 350 Nm. The Han DM-p accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

It is logical that the average fuel consumption of the Han DM-p is higher – 5.2 liters per 100 km versus 4.2 liters per 100 km for the Han DM-i. In the second case, the mileage on a full tank is about 1300 km.

The images show that Han DM-i and Han DM-p are equipped very well. The vehicles feature a digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch touchscreen in the center console, DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, and 5G-enabled DiLink4.0 communication system. You can open the car using a smartphone with an NFC module.
