Together with the FreeBuds 4 wireless headphones, Huawei today presented the MateBook 16 laptop in China. The novelty is built on the Ryzen 5000 platform, has 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
A special feature of the MateBook 16 is the screen – its resolution is 2.5K (2520 x 1680 pixels), and the aspect ratio is 3: 2. The display is marked with the TÜV Rheinland certificate and is pre-calibrated (DeltaE = 1), providing coverage of 100% of the sRGB color space.
The cooling system uses two 75mm “gaming grade” fans and two curved copper heat pipes. It is noted that the volume of air passing through the cooling system has been increased by 30% – including due to two additional holes in the housing for its circulation.
Huawei MateBook 16 supports 135W fast charging: in 15 minutes, the device’s battery gains enough charge for 3.5 hours of office use. As for the maximum laptop autonomy, it is 12.5 hours.
Sales of the MateBook 16 in China will start today. The Ryzen 5 5600H six-core variant is priced at $ 980, the Ryzen 7 5800H version is priced at $ 1060.
