A couple of weeks ago, Honda unveiled a charged version of the new Honda Civic sedan, dubbed the Honda Civic Si 2022. Now the prices of the car have been announced.
In the US, it will start at $ 28,315, which is $ 7,000 more than the standard Civic sedan and about $ 5,000 more than the Civic Hatchback. The Honda Civic Si 2022 is also 2,300 more expensive than the previous generation Civic Si.
Honda claims the 2022 Civic Si has all the elements of a sporty family sedan that is fun to drive. It has an updated 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 200 hp. with a torque of 260 Nm. The declared fuel consumption in mixed mode is 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
More importantly, the new Civic Si will only get a 6-speed manual gearbox with overrun functionality borrowed from the Civic Type R. Honda claims the handle has 10% shorter travel and a sharper gear feel for maximum driving pleasure.
The Honda Civic Si 2022 features glossy black interior trim, 18-inch matte black alloy wheels, a sporty grille, redesigned upper bumper and redesigned rear bumper with two oval tailpipe trims. The cabin features sports seats with red stitching, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a 12-speaker Bose audio system – the best audio system ever installed in a Civic, according to Honda.
For an additional $ 200, they offer to purchase a set of summer tires. Car deliveries will start at the end of the year.
