200 MP, powerful processor and old design: Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 Ultra

Today, February 1, Samsung, as promised, held its official event, during which the latest line of Galaxy S23 smartphones was presented, the top device of which is the Galaxy S23 Ultra gadget. Unfortunately, the manufacturer failed to surprise the audience with characteristics, design or unique features, since this year there were even too many leaks of classified information – in some countries, even demonstration stands with devices were set up the day before the presentation. However, although insiders leaked all the characteristic features of the smartphone a month ago, the smartphone did not become worse from this – the novelty definitely deserves attention.

For example, the Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a really high-quality Dynamic AMOLED 2X display – its diagonal is 6.8 inches with a resolution of 3200 × 1800 pixels (QHD +), an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz is supported, plus the screen is equipped with an Infinity-O cutout and curved edges. We should also pay attention to the brightness of 1750 nits – this is a peak figure that is probably only achieved when automatic brightness control is activated or exclusively when viewing HDR content. The device did not reach the record for brightness, but the characteristics are more than impressive by modern standards.

But the main feature of the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone, as previously stated by insiders, is the main image sensor of 200 megapixels. Thanks to such a significant resolution, the user can get frames that can potentially be used even in commercial printing, although, as practice has shown, no one will do this. At the same time, the camera, of course, supports pixel binning, capturing more light in the case of shooting at 12.5 megapixels, for example. The main camera system also includes a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera and two 10MP telephoto lenses. Thanks to two zoom lenses, the user will get better pictures of objects taken at a great distance.

Also, the flagship smartphone Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a 5000 mAh battery with support for Super Fast Charging 2.0 fast charging technology and quite decent performance under the hood – as expected from such devices. In the basic configuration, the gadget provides 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 internal memory, while in the top configuration, you can get 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space. And, of course, the key difference between this smartphone and other models in the line is the presence of the S-Pen stylus and a compartment for storing and transporting it inside the case.
