Enrollments in the selection process for census takers and census agents for the 2022 Demographic Census, which would close on Wednesday (29), have been extended until January 21, 2022. There are 206,891 temporary vacancies throughout the country. To register, you must access the FGV Knowledge website, which organizes the competition.
According to Bruno Malheiros, coordinator of Human Resources at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the decision to extend the deadline was taken due to the fact that the process was opened during holidays and New Year’s Eve parties, when the population usually travel.
“University students are part of the public that is interested in the work of enumerator, and they are on vacation right now. In addition, a lot of people are employed with temporary contracts that expire now at the end of December, and will start looking for new opportunities.”
The tests, which would be applied on March 27, were postponed to April 10, 2022.
183,021 vacancies are being offered for enumerators, with variable remuneration and flexible working hours; 18,420 for the supervising census agent, with a salary of R$1,700; and 5,450 for a municipal census agent, with a salary of R$ 2,100. Census agents have a workload of 40 hours per week.
