Hyundai has unveiled the 2022 Kona Electric. It differs from the current model in a more precise design, but the main technical characteristics remained unchanged.
The decorative grille in the area of the charging socket is gone. Now the connector cover is simply inscribed in the contours of the front end of the body. As for the rear end, the designers have removed the wheel arch liners, giving the car a simpler, sleeker look. In the same direction, new light-alloy wheels, modified headlights and rear LED lights worked.

The interior has been significantly redone. The previous 7-inch center touchscreen and dashboard have been replaced by a pair of 10.25-inch screens. The onboard system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The surface around the dashboard has been refined and a wireless charger has been added to the center storage compartment.

Customers will be offered the Hyundai BlueLink system, which will allow them to control the electric vehicle using a smartphone and receive key information about the range, charging times and the location of charging stations.
The source also notes the new windshield and additional soundproofing of the dashboard and trunk – these measures are intended to make the already quiet interior even quieter.
As before, the Kona Electric is powered by a single 201 hp electric motor powered by a 64 kWh battery. This means that the dynamics and mileage on a single charge remain the same: the car needs 6.4 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and without recharging, you can drive about 460 km.
The new version of the Kona Electric will appear in South Korea first, but it will be available in the US in the spring. The base price is just under $ 40,000.
