2023 MacBook Pro unveiled: new processors, record autonomy and 96 GB of RAM

The MacBook Pro line of laptops is taking successors in early 2023. Today, January 17, Apple introduced the updated 14-inch and 16-inch models based on the latest M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. PCs are once again pushing the boundaries of mobile workflows with advanced 8K monitors, an incredible 96GB of RAM, and the longest battery life of any Mac, up to 22 hours.

The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro comes with a 10-core or 12-core processor offering up to 20% performance improvement over its predecessor with the M1 Pro. The next-generation graphics accelerator with 19 cores accelerates graphics processing by 30%, and the Neural Engine is 40% faster in machine learning tasks. Unified memory can now be up to 32 GB. Throughput reached 200 GB / s.

The MacBook Pro with the 12-core M2 Max chip reaches an unprecedented level for its form factor, being 20% ​​more powerful than last year’s M1 Max. According to Apple, the laptop can handle intense graphical workloads like creating scenes with extreme 3D textures or piecing together massive photographic panoramas. The 38-core graphics accelerator and support for up to 96 GB of unified memory also contribute to impressive performance. The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max can be ordered from the official Apple website and the Apple Store app in 27 countries starting today. Delivery of the first online orders will begin on January 24th. Sales in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau and New Zealand will start on February 3rd.
