2024 Olympics, another record-breaking expedition for Italy: 40 medals

It ended on a high note, with a success that we have always longed for but which we had never managed to conquer. Another record-breaking expedition, in short, also with regards to the fourth places: in fact, for over twenty times, Italy has put the mistreated around its neck «wooden medal»which actually testifies the extreme competitiveness of the movement.

A loot that is worth Italy the ninth place overall in the medal table (for the eighth consecutive edition, that is, from Atlanta 1996, we are in the top 10, ed.): in front there are South Korea And Netherlands (who have more golds, but overall fewer medals than the Italians), then the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Japan, and finally China and the USA who fought for the top of the medal table until the last second of the last event.
