2200 horses and 1.99 seconds to hundreds: presented the most powerful electric car

Yesterday, April 14, the Austrian company Deus Automobiles, which was created in 2020, officially presented its latest Vayanne electric hypercar, developed with the support of Williams Advanced Engineering and ItalDesign, at the New York Auto Show. It should be noted right away that at the moment this is the most powerful electric car on the planet – the total power of electric power plants is 2200 horsepower with a torque of 2000 Nm. Due to this, the vehicle is able to accelerate from standstill to hundreds in 1.99 seconds – even for hypercars on electricity, this is an impressive dynamics.

It was possible to achieve such a fast acceleration not only due to the impressive power of the engines, but also thanks to additional tricks – the manufacturer uses lightweight materials (the total weight of the vehicle is 1870 kilograms), and the body is made in a special aerodynamic shape. This allows the hypercar not only to take off very quickly, but also to reach a maximum speed of 400 km / h with a range of 500 kilometers. However, such a range can only be achieved at much more gentle speeds.

It is also worth recalling that Vayanne has plenty of competitors with impressive power – the same Lotus Evija claims 2000 horsepower, plus there are more extravagant solutions like Aspark Awl (2012 horses) and Pininfarina Battista (1900 horses). And if we take into account the usual hypercars on internal combustion engines, that is, models with much more power, Spyros Chaos, for example, has as many as 3065 horses under the hood.

Representatives of Deus Automobiles have already officially opened the acceptance of orders for Vayanne, but there are several important points. Firstly, so far no one has reported the final cost of the car. Secondly, only 99 copies will be sold in total. And, thirdly, they promise to launch deliveries only in 2025.
