27-inch Mini-LED screen, Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max, at least 16/512 GB, a wide range of ports. iMac Pro launches in the first half of 2022

According to Macrumors, the next-generation all-in-one computer iMac may come out under the name iMac Pro. The device will feature the same Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs that Apple introduced with the new MacBook Pros. Apple is using the Pro box to differentiate the upcoming iMac from the 24-inch iMac released earlier this year.

The iMac Pro is said to feature a 27-inch Mini-LED display with ProMotion technology, although previous rumors indicated that the next generation iMac will have a larger display. Unlike the 24-inch iMac, the new model will have smaller dark bezels.

In terms of design, it could be similar to the 24-inch iMac and Pro Display XDR. Apple is testing Face ID for this device, but it’s not a confirmed feature. The base iMac Pro model will have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid-state storage. All models will come with an HDMI port, SD card slot and multiple USB-C / Thunderbolt ports, just like the MacBook Pro and Ethernet.

The iMac Pro will have a starting price of at least $ 2,000 and will launch in the first half of 2022. The upcoming iMac Pro will replace the current 27-inch Intel-based iMac models.

Renowned journalist and insider Mark Gurman, as well as Ross Young, founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, also confirmed the development of such a monoblock.
