The Korean division of Samsung Foundry spoke about new plans for advanced chip manufacturing processes. During an event in the United States, representatives of the South Korean giant said they were going to start mass production of chips using 2nm technology by 2025, and 1.4nm by 2027. According to the new schedule, Samsung is on par with TSMC, which also plans to launch 2nm production in 2025. The Taiwanese company announced its plans in September.
