I’m back! New appointment with the 3 things I recommend you to watch in streaming on the weekend.

This week I’m talking about 2 films and 1 TV series that have a great element in common: super strong female protagonists. It is the turn of I care a lot, Girl Power e Ginny & Georgia.

I CARE A LOT

I warn you: you will hate the protagonist from the first second and now you will understand why.

Marla Grayson she is a legal guardian entrusted by the court to several elderly people – so far so good – but she manages to scam them by stealing their life savings through some tricks allowed by law. WTF!

But a big round of applause to Rosamund Pike, I can’t imagine any other actress in her place. And in fact he also won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Movie, Comedy or Musical.

GIRL POWER – The revolution begins at school

Girl Power tells the story of Vivien, a 16-year-old girl who is starting to get tired of the sexist climate in her high school, so she decides – inspired by her mother’s rebellious past – to publish a fanzine completely anonymously to spark a revolution. YOU GO GIRL!

GINNY & GEORGIA

The protagonists are Georgia, a young single mother, e Ginny, the 15-year-old daughter. Two women with two opposite characters who move to a small town in the New England to escape the past of Georgia… But it won’t be as easy as it sounds. And even joining a community that considers them two strangers will not be a real child’s play.

The mother-daughter relationship is a fundamental aspect of the series that is very reminiscent A mother as a friend, but the clash between the two in this case will be inevitable.
