Italian automaker Maserati unveiled the Levante Hybrid at the Shanghai Auto Show taking place in China this week.
Maserati describes the Levante Hybrid as “faster than diesel, more environmentally friendly than diesel or gasoline, and unique in its performance.” The Maserati Levante Hybrid is powered by a two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid system.

The total power of the power plant is 330 hp, and the torque reaches 450 Nm. The Maserati Levante Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km / h. The battery is installed very low, which makes the car more maneuverable than the petrol version.
The 2022 Maserati Levante Hybrid features four-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Levante Hybrid cannot run on all-electric power due to the small size of the battery.

In terms of design, the 2022 Maserati Levante Hybrid is very similar to its non-hybrid siblings such as the Levante GTS and Trofeo. Inside, the Levante Hybrid features blue stitching on the door panels, seats and dashboard.

Maserati has yet to announce pricing for its newest hybrid crossover. The automaker promises to reveal more towards the end of 2021.
