35% duties imposed on Serbia by Trump

Serbia remains in the zone of countries in which the US imposed the highest duties. All products exported to the US from Serbia will now be charged (from August 7) with a 35%duty, according to a decree signed by Donald Trump. The proposals made by the Serbian government for more favorable terms in commercial transactions were not accepted. The Serbian political leadership is “frustrated” as it had openly supported Donald Trump’s election to the US presidency. Serbia’s trade with the US are not large enough to threaten a serious economy. The trade balance is relatively balanced and in 2024 exports of Serbian products to the US market amounted to $ 734.5 million, while imports were slightly higher reaching $ 739.4 million.
