Strong earthquake 5.4 Richter occurred in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia according to the Euro-Mediterranean Institute. The epicenter was located 4 km west-northwest of Ciranjang-hilir town, with a focal depth of only 15 km.
According to the Indonesian meteorological and geophysical agency BMKG there is no chance of a tsunami. Workers evacuated their offices in Jakarta’s central business district, while others reported feeling buildings shake and seeing furniture being moved, Reuters reports.
