5 celebrity summer flirts that we had completely forgotten about

A few days ago I came across, by chance, the photo of Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez on vacation together in Sardinia in about 2013. My reaction was something like: “But when did this thing happen?” They were together almost two months and then broke up in September: a classic example of summer flirting. Even if they have disappeared from our memories, there are so many celebrity couples who dated in the summer and, with the first cold weather, separated as if nothing ever happened. Here, then, are 5 summer romance that we had completely forgotten about:

The actor and singer began dating in June 2016, shortly after her breakup with Calvin Harris. They announced their story via Instagram with a super cute snap on July 4th (hugging and eye to eye alongside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds). In truth, it seemed like more than a summer flirt, so much so that they had introduced themselves to their respective families. Too bad they broke up in September without adding any comments.

They met in Cannes in 2011 and for the Oscar-winning actor it was almost love at first sight. In fact, from May of that year the two became inseparable and took the opportunity to spend the summer together in Australia, the United States and Europe (they were also spotted in Rome, visiting the Imperial Forums). Then in October they said goodbye: shortly after she met her future husband Ryan Reynolds and he the model Erin Heatherton, with whom she had a steady couple for a year.

Justin was in the post break up period Selena Gomez and Hailey Baldwin and seemed to have found happiness with the model. Situation returned within a few weeks as both are immediately single again.

In the pre-Zayn Malik era, Gigi Hadid dated Joe Jonas for 5 months (June to November 2015), also earning a couple nickname: GI Joe. Shortly after they broke up, the model started dating the former One Direction, but this was not much appreciated by the Jonas brother who, during an interview, commented on the thing with a slightly acid phrase: “I think it’s really interesting to see how it went so fast. Very quickly”. Something tells us that Joe was busier than her.

This summer flirtation also lasted very little: all of July 2017. It was probably a way for the son of David and Victoria Beckham to move forward after the important relationship with Chloë Grace Moretz. The official reason for the breakup, apparently, was the distance, even if the singer in those days said she was super into him. Evidently something went wrong.
