The owner of the shop where one of her friends worked started selling them successfully and so Alexa rolled up her sleeves to mass-produce glasses, even getting positive feedback in a boutique in Japan.
In terms of popularity, Alexa’s creations seemed to be booming, so much so that they were worn by celebs like Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj. Fairs in Japan and Taiwan, even an appearance in Vogue Korea and then the sad realization: too much work and minimal compensation.
