Halloween is one of my favorite parties ever, but not particularly loving to dress up, for me celebrating means watching horror themed movies and TV series munching on popcorn and themed sweets. If you are like me too, then you are definitely looking for something to watch to make the most of your evening. So here it is 5 TV series and movies to watch on Halloween.
BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOR
Lisa Nova is an aspiring director who has just arrived in The Angels intending to direct her new film. She actually meets who can help her, but she quickly reveals herself to be the worst of people and, therefore, contemplates taking revenge. It is precisely by pursuing this goal that he comes into contact with quite bizarre presences: zombies, witches and so on and so forth. The background to this mini series is Hollywood but in a completely new guise.
CASTELVANIA
If you like the animated genre, this series is for you. And since there are four seasons you can continue with the atmosphere of Halloween even on the following days, but for the 31st you can easily enjoy the premiere which has only four episodes. Based on the video game of the same name, it is about a love story, set in 1455, between Lisa e Dracula. Without spoiling, let’s say something is going to happen for which Dracula he will try to avenge his beloved. There isn’t more thematic than that.
A CLASSIC HORROR STORY
I know we are used to thinking that the best horror films come from overseas, but in Italy we have some fantastic ones too. Without bothering such sacred monsters Dario Argento, the all-Italian film A Classic Horror Story is for you. Very simple but still effective storyline: Elisa joins a group of guys, stumbling upon a carpooling app. While everyone tries to go home through the Calabrian hinterland, due to an accident they are forced to stop in a house that, at first, seems abandoned, but it is not at all. As the title promises, just a classic horror story.
GHOUL
Halloween also means a bit of thriller and this Indian miniseries is perfect. We are in a dystopian future in which a series of crimes and attacks has prompted the government to establish a totalitarian dictatorship in which books are burned and schools closed and prohibited. Nida, the protagonist, is a member of the police who strenuously applies these rules, until she is sent to question the most dangerous terrorist, Ali Saeed, which will create many difficulties and second thoughts. This, for those who are fans of Handmaid’s Tale, it is a must watch.
THE ROADS OF EVIL
I only tell you that the protagonists are Tom Holland e Robert pattinson and this would already be worth the vision, but to honor Halloween it must be said that it is a thriller that keeps you attached to the screen despite lasting more than two hours. Without anticipating too much about the plot, which is full of twists, Arvin Russel, the protagonist, has never had a simple life, but things lose control when he runs into a diabolical preacher, a rather shady and mysterious couple and a corrupt sheriff. In short, there are all the elements worthy of this genre, so perfect for your evening of October 31st.
