50% duties in copper and 200% on imported drugs announces Trump

US President Donald Trump has announced tonight that it is considering imposing 200% additional tariffs on medicinal products imported in the country, hoping that it will force pharmaceutical companies to settle on US territory. “We will soon announce something about medicinal products. We will give them a year and a half to come here and after that, they will be duty, “he told the cabinet, adding that duties could even reach 200%. Trump also said that he would later announce 50% of imported copper duties today in an attempt to boost the domestic production of a metal that is critical to electric cars, the electricity grid, for many consumer goods and military equipment. The US president also announced that he would impose duties on semiconductors and “on a couple of things, big” without specifying the height.
