Sources confirm that about 50 Huawei device models are currently in readiness to receive the HarmonyOS operating system. These devices include smartphones, smartwatches, Huawei tablets, and Honor phones.
Huawei has developed its own independent distributed operating system, HarmonyOS, which is designed for a wide variety of devices. In December last year, Huawei released the beta version of HarmonyOS 2.0 to developers and simultaneously began recruiting beta testers among owners of Huawei P40, Mate 30 smartphones and MatePad Pro tablets.
So far, Huawei has released three beta versions for HarmonyOS developers. Earlier, Huawei representatives confirmed that HarmonyOS for smartphones will be released in April. The company will soon launch a public testing program.

The first to take part in open testing will be the owners of smartphones Huawei Mate X2, Mate 40 and P40. In addition, the Chinese phone maker is also gearing up to debut three flagships from different segments in the coming months. These are Huawei P50 series smartphones, MatePad Pro tablets and Watch 3 smartwatches, which will come with HarmonyOS preinstalled.
Wang Chenglu (Also), President of Huawei Consumer Business Group’s Software Division, revealed that Huawei plans to install HarmonyOS on 300 million devices in 2021, of which 200 million will be smartphones.
