The premiere of flagship smartphones Xiaomi Mix 5 and Mix 5 Pro is expected in March. They will be a step above the current Xiaomi 12 flagships – at least until Xiaomi 12 Ultra (or Xiaomi 12U) comes out: according to the latest rumors, this will happen only in the second half of the year.
Since the cameras of Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are not the most impressive, many are waiting for real Xiaomi camera phones, which should be Mix 5 and Mix 5 Pro. The possible characteristics of the first one were cited by an insider on Twitter.
Mix 5 is credited with a Huaxing Optoelectronics screen with Full HD + resolution, a 4600 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging, a sub-screen front camera with a 50 megapixel sensor, and a proprietary Surge C2 image processor. The main sensor of the main camera will be Sony IMX800 with a resolution of 50 megapixels. Of course, this module will have optical image stabilization. The other two modules have 48MP sensors. In the first case, the sensor will be connected to an ultra wide-angle lens, in the second case, to a telephoto lens (and the OIS system).
These parameters of the Xiaomi Mix 5 have not yet been confirmed in any way, but they do not look like someone’s wish list and are fully consistent with previous leaks.
