Meizu today in China introduced the flagship smartphones Meizu 18s and Meizu 18s Pro – improved versions of the March flagships Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro. Alas, the new items differ from their predecessors even less than the iPhone 13 from the iPhone 12.
In fact, the main innovation is hidden in the very center of the hardware platform – instead of Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 888 Plus is installed. The battery capacity has also increased – up to 5000 mAh. Accordingly, in comparison with its predecessors, productivity has increased, autonomy has increased. Other innovations include a fresh Flyme 9.2 shell, a modified Pure Vision computational photography engine, which should improve the quality of video recording and night shooting, as well as a new Game Mode 5.0 game mode.
Otherwise, there are no changes. Meizu 18s is equipped with a 6.2-inch Samsung AMOLED 44 screen with a 2K resolution, a triple camera with 64-megapixel, 16 and 8-megapixel sensors, and a 20-megapixel front camera. Meizu 18s Pro is equipped with a 6.7-inch QHD + E4 screen, a 44-megapixel front camera and a main camera with 50, 32 and 8 megapixel sensors (with 3x optical zoom, 30x hybrid and hybrid stabilization system). Both models are equipped with UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory, as well as Wi-Fi 6E adapters.
The cost of Meizu 18s is as follows: 8/128 GB – $ 570, 8/256 GB – $ 620, 12/256 GB – $ 665. And this is how the Chinese price list for Meizu 18s Pro looks like: 8/128 GB – $ 710, 8/256 GB – $ 775, 12/256 GB – $ 835. Sales of new products in the Celestial Empire will start tomorrow.
