Together with the flagship smartphone K50 Pro, Redmi today introduced in China the base model of the line – K50. She also became the world’s first smartphone on SoC MediaTek Dimensity 8100.

The front camera of Redmi K50 is with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 sensor. In the main camera – sensors with a resolution of 48 megapixels (Sony IMX582, with optical stabilization), 8 megapixels with an ultra wide-angle lens and 2 megapixels for macro photography. The battery capacity was 5500 mAh, 67 W fast charging is supported (it takes 48 minutes to fully charge the battery).

The OS was Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface. There are also stereo speakers, a side fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6 adapters, NFC 3.0 and Bluetooth 5.3.
