6 out of 10 citizens would trust the issuance of their pension to certified accountants and lawyers

Six out of 10 citizens would entrust the issuance of their pension to certified public accountants and lawyers, according to a Pulse survey published in Action Press and Action24 television.

This is the new institution of EFKA that allows the issuance of pensions in less than 90 days and at no cost to the insured.

As the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, stated in an interview with Action24, “the institution of certified accountants and lawyers has gained the trust of the citizens, despite the fact that it has been implemented very recently. citizen does not care from whom the pension will come, but to get his pension, without delays and hassle “.

It is reminded that the institution of certified accountants and lawyers concerns the issuance of new pensions for the former Funds OGA, OAEE and IKA and, as has been said, is the fastest way today for the issuance of a pension by EFKA. Already, more than 1,500 retirement cases have been taken over by the certified, while the first pensions, which were awarded, were issued in less than 90 days. In the near future, the expansion of the categories of pensions that the certified will be able to undertake is expected.

According to the survey, 60% of respondents would choose to use certified professionals to issue their own pension. In fact, 62% of the total sample and 65% of those who have an insurance relationship with e-EFKA believe that this institution is moving in the right direction.

According to the survey, the balance of responses is positive for New Democracy voters (July 2019) at 77%. As it is pointed out, it is noteworthy that even among ZYRIZA voters the balance of answers is also positive, as the positive opinions reach 50%, while respectively for the voters of the Movement for Change the positive opinions reach 69%.

On the question of whether the service of the citizen has been improved by EFKA in the last 12 months, opinions are divided. The affirmative answers account for 45% of the total sample and 46% for those who have an insurance relationship with e-EFKA and are even marginally superior to the negative ones (43% and 44% respectively)

“The fact that 45% of the respondents state that the service at EFKA has been upgraded in the last 12 months is a proof of the efforts we are making for the issuance of pensions, but also with 1555”, said Mr. Hatzidakis. “We are not celebrating, but significant progress has been made and much remains to be done, to further improve the satisfaction rates of the citizens. Let us not forget that EFKA is the most problematic body of the Public Administration, with 48% of complaints to the “The ombudsman should be concerned about him”, he notes.

A similar picture is reflected in the question of whether the measures to accelerate the issuance of outstanding pensions have worked. 44% of citizens answer “Definitely Yes” or “Probably Yes”, while 41% answer “Definitely No” or “Probably No”

The nationwide survey was conducted between May 22-25 on a sample of 1,204 eligible adults.
