64% of the public at the turn on Avenida Paulista were residents of the capital

The person who most enjoyed the turnaround at Paulista was the São Paulo native himself. 64% of the event's audience were residents of the capital, an increase of 7 percentage points compared to the 57% recorded on New Year's Eve 2022.

The previous data comes from the SPTurismo Tourism and Events Observatory and was obtained by CNN. Of the 36% non-residents, 46% were from greater São Paulo, 19.5% from the interior and 34.5% from other states.

The audience was well divided between men, with 50.7%, and women, with 49.1%. Young people were the majority: 22.3% between 18 and 24 years old and 25.5% between 30 and 39 years old. And more than half – 52% – used the metro to get to the location.

People's biggest complaint was the slowness to enter the party venue, due to the need for a search. The lines were quite long. The city hall's expectation was to receive 2 million people and there are still no final numbers on how many actually attended. 630 military police officers worked on security and only one serious fight with a bottle was recorded, despite the search.
