MediaTek is actively increasing its market share for SoC for smartphones. One of the reasons for the success is Dimensity’s line of SoCs. The company is preparing to release several new products in the near future.
The company previously confirmed that it will launch new Dimensity series products in China on January 20. MediaTek did not disclose details, but sources are confident that the company is preparing to introduce the mobile platform Dimensity 1200 (MT6893).
Now information has been leaked about the MediaTek Dimenisty 1100 SoC, which should be a simplified version of the Dimensity 1200. It is reported that the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 will be manufactured using a 6nm processor and will have four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores in architecture. The clock speed will be 2.6 GHz and the GPU will not be overclocked.
MediaTek Dimensity 1100 should get an image processor that supports 108 megapixel cameras. The platform will also support Full HD + screens with 144 Hz refresh rate, LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory.
The SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and MediaTek Dimensity 1100 are expected to be unveiled together this week.
