Samsung has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy F62 smartphone. And yes, this is a smartphone, not a tablet (there were such rumors as well). In terms of its characteristics and price, this model can be called a potential hit.
It may not be a tablet, but the smartphone itself is large – the Super AMOLED + Infinity-O screen diagonal was 6.7 inches. Resolution – Full HD +, protection of the display is provided by the tempered glass Gorilla Glass. The hardware platform for the mid-range model is quite powerful – the 7nm Exynos 9825 used in the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. The amount of RAM is 6 or 8 GB, the amount of built-in flash memory is 128 GB. There is also a slot for microSD memory cards.
The built-in front camera has a 32 megapixel sensor, the main camera has four sensors with a resolution of 64, 12 (with an ultra-wide-angle lens), 5 (macro) and 5 (scene depth analysis) megapixels. Supports video recording with both main and front cameras.

The Galaxy F62 is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, LTE modem, dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC adapters, a USB-C port and a standard headphone jack. The 7000mAh battery supports 25W wire fast charging, but no wireless charging. There are three colors – blue, green and gray, all “laser gradient”.
Despite the large battery capacity, the Galaxy F62 is not a thick smartphone: the thickness is 9.5 mm. Weight – 218 grams. It runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1 out of the box.
Sales in India, where the new product was presented, will start on February 22nd. The cost of the version with 6 GB of RAM is $ 330, with 8 GB of RAM – $ 360. But there is a $ 35 discount for paying with a local bank credit card.
