A 74-year-old man, known as Pelé, died after being attacked by a swarm of bees in Caruaru, in Agreste de Pernambuco.
The accident occurred on the edge of a dam in Vila Presidente Kennedy, on the banks of Federal Highway BR-104, on Tuesday (25), but was only announced this Friday (27).
According to the Pernambuco Civil Police, the victim was on the edge of the dam when he stepped on a swarm of bees, which attacked him. The occurrence was registered by the 14th Caruaru Sectional Police Station as a death to be clarified.
After the attack, the victim’s body was sent to the city’s Legal Medical Institute (IML). Police are investigating the circumstances of the case.
