Quantity of mammoths cocaine were seized in El Salvador during an operation to dismantle a trafficking ring operating mainly in the country’s beaches. According to the announcement of the prosecution, the drugs were 744 kilos and their value exceeds 18 million euros.
The traffickers were based in La Paz and San Miguel, in the eastern part of the country between Honduras and Guatemala. Nine people were arrested in the operation.
The operation was carried out by the drug prosecution service, following information that spoke about the use of beach facilities in the two areas, which are bathed by the Pacific Ocean, in order to move “large quantities of drugs”, according to the prosecutor’s office.
