Explosions followed, indicating the “presence of large quantities of weapons at the affected facilities,” the Israeli military statement said. Lebanon’s health ministry said six Lebanese and two Syrian children were injured. The state-run Agricultural Research Institute announced it would close its research stations in the Bekaa Valley for security reasons after unexploded projectiles fell a short distance from the facilities.
