The death of Joel (Pedro Pascal) has moved the web since the second episode of the second season of “The Last of Us” It aired on Sunday night (22). He was one of the protagonists of the plot alongside Ellie (Bella Ramsey).
Viewers, however, should not be so shocked, as over the years several characters dear to the public have died tragically or unexpectedly. Remember below.
- George O’Malley (“Gray’s Anatomy”)
The first character in the medical series to die – which would add dozens of losses over the more than 20 seasons – generated revolt among fans. After George enlisted to help in the army, he returns to the hospital as a patient in season six, but with a deformed face, so his colleagues did not know who it was – until he identified himself as “007” Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).
- Glenn Rhee (“The Walking Dead”)
Like “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Walking Dead” adds to several deaths over the years, but one specific has been marked in history because of how graphic is the moment. In season seventh, the character is beating to death with a baseball club by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
- Stark Family (“Game of Thrones”)
Not one, but three members of the Stark family were murdered in the fateful red wedding episode in season three, where a massacre, which kills Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, Talisa Stark and several soldiers.
- Marissa Cooper (“The OC”)
The protagonist’s death in a car accident at the end of season three teenage series took fans by surprise.
- Charlie Pace (“Lost”)
In the third season, DEpon that Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) begins to predict Charlie’s death in dreams and visions, the former rock-oriented one sacrifices for drowning to save the other survivors.
- Derek Shepherd (“Grey’s Anatomy”)
One of the main and most beloved characters in the series died in season 12 by not recovering from a brain injury after a car accident.
