GM kicked off the revival of the legendary Hummer SUV brand with an electric pickup, but a full-fledged SUV was not long in coming. Today, the Hummer EV SUV is officially presented, and it will be possible to buy it already in 2023.
As in the case of the pickup, production and sales of the most expensive versions of the SUV start first – the Hummer EV SUV 1 Edition with the Extreme Off-Road package at $ 110,595 and the Hummer EV SUV 1 Edition without this package at $ 105,595. They will begin to collect them in early 2023. In the spring of the same year, they will start assembling cheaper versions – the Hummer EV2x SUV for $ 90,000 and the Hummer EV3x SUV for $ 100,000, and production of the most affordable Hummer EV2 SUV will begin in the spring of 2024.
The expensive SUV (from $ 90,000) received the features announced for the pickup. These include the ability to move diagonally, as crabs do (the function is called Crub Walk), as well as the Extract Mode, in which the air suspension is raised above the ground to a height of 15 cm to overcome high obstacles. The Hummer EV SUV inherited from the pickup: an electronic dashboard with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, a media system with a screen diagonal of 13.4 inches and a digital key.
Base Hummer EV SUVs develop up to 625 hp. and are equipped with two electric motors, the power of the top versions is up to 830 hp, and they already have three electric motors. The minimum declared mileage is about 400 km on a single charge, the maximum is about 500 km. All versions of the car, except for the basic one, support fast charging from terminals with a capacity of 300 kWh.
The SUV, like the Hummer pickup, is based on the Ultium modular platform, but the pickup has higher power (up to 1000 hp) and better dynamics (acceleration to 100 km / h in about 3 seconds, while the SUV has about 3 , 5 c).
