One Girl of only 9 years was shot in the head After a confrontation between rival criminal groups, in Morro do Cajueiro, located in Madureira, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on Wednesday afternoon (7).
According to the Military Police, police from the 9th BPM (Rocha Miranda), were called to verify the confrontation. Upon arriving at the scene, the military reported being attacked by firearm shots.
Subsequently, the teams were informed about the injured child and sent her to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA), by Rocha Miranda.
Due to the girl’s state of health, she was transferred to Getúlio Vargas State Hospital (HegV), which informed CNN that the patient is in serious condition, without providing further details.
The Civil Police investigates the case through the 29th Police Station (Madureira). Policing was reinforced on site.
