The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, has found a buyer for his last remaining home. Musk accepted the initial offer to buy his huge estate in the San Francisco area.
The 19-hectare estate in Hillsborough, California was built in 1912 and acquired by the billionaire in 2017 for $ 23.3 million. The mansion has an area of 1486 square meters, it includes seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. It has a library with leather walls, a huge kitchen equipped for a personal chef, a cocktail room and almost 6-meter ceilings. The windows overlook the San Francisco Bay and the vast grounds. The garage and sheds can accommodate 11 cars.
The house was last cut to $ 31.99 million, but the final sale price has yet to be announced. Musk has been selling for over a year. In 2020, he pledged that he would eventually “not own real estate,” and sold several multi-million dollar homes in California.
In June, the last house was put up for sale for $ 37.5 million, but since then Musk has reduced its price. The Tesla and SpaceX founder himself lives in a small folding house that he rents from his own rocket company, SpaceX.
Elon Musk has repeatedly stated that he wants to have as much capital as possible to colonize Mars.
