A 34-year-old Iranian man was shot dead by police in Germany

A 34-year-old Iranian man was shot dead by police officers who he had previously attacked with a knife at a train station in the Lauf an der Pegnitz area near Nuremberg. According to police, the man allegedly first verbally attacked officers in a federal police patrol car. When they dismissed him, the 34-year-old continued to challenge them and, when they got out of the car, he threatened them with a knife. The officers first used pepper spray, fired warning shots in the air, and finally shot and fatally wounded the man in the abdomen. The injured man was given first aid at the scene, but he succumbed to his injuries.
