An employee of a Moscow branch of a bank took advantage of his official position and stole about 180 million rubles belonging to a client from a safe deposit box. When employees of a financial and credit institution discovered the loss, it turned out that the attacker had taken cash out of the bank vault in parts, and spent the last batch of 35 million rubles on the purchase of cryptocurrency.

Economic security officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District of Moscow detained the suspect at the airport when he tried to leave the country with stolen money.
